On behalf of the entire organising committee, we are pleased to announce that the 6th Congress of the European Family Therapy Association and 32nd Association for Family Therapy and Systemic Practice UK Conference on the theme of 'Beyond Oppositions: Individuals, Families, Communities' will take place in the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre, Glasgow from 4th - 6th October 2007.
The Scientific Programme has been created to appeal to a wide audience with each day dedicated to a different theme:
• Mind and Body
• Self and System
• Cultural Integration and Differentiation
The sixth Conference in this strong working partnership between EFTA and successive national family therapy associations, this is the first ever EFTA/AFT UK conference. This exciting collaborative educational venture will enable you to update yourself about recent developments in Mental Health and Social Care practice and enhance your understanding about how families function. The emphasis is on current thinking about how families can be supported in their different cultural contexts throughout Europe through family therapy and systemic practice. Aimed at professionals at all levels in health, social services and academia, government, private practice and voluntary organizations, and held in a world class venue with technical facilities of the highest calibre, it will provide a feast of information, opportunities and new contacts.
