:: Instructions for Submission of Abstracts
Abstract submission is now closed.
Authors wishing to submit an abstract for oral or poster presentation are requested to submit a maximum of 250 words in English.
Abstracts are invited under the following themes:
•
Mind and Body.
•
Self and System.
•
Cultural Integration and Differentiation
All abstracts must be submitted through the abstract submission website, a link will be provided shortly. Please follow the comprehensive instructions on the website as to how to submit. Please do note the following important instructions:
• Without exception, late submission will not be accepted after the 1st March 2007.
• Authors will be advised of the Paper Selection Committee’s decision by 3rd April 2007.

Please note: All presenters (poster and oral) will be required to pay the full registration fee.
At the time of submitting your abstract you will be asked to select the type of presentation you would like to give. Please note that the Scientific Committee reserves the right to offer a shorter presentation than that which you have submitted in order to maximise the number of participants. The presentation options are:
Workshops
Presenters will have the opportunity to present a 45 minute, 90 minute or 3 hour workshop including question/discussion time.
Brief Presentation
We invite applicants to give a brief 30 minute research or clinical activity presentation (20 minutes for presentation and 10 minutes for questions). It will be possible for you to give your presentation in either French, Spanish or English as simultaneous interpretation will be provided in the room that this session is located in.
Symposium
Applicants are invited to submit for a 90 minute or 3 hour symposium. One applicant is responsible for submitting on behalf of all participants. The symposium should normally comprise of 3 or 4 individual papers (no more than 6), each submitted with an abstract of 250 words, together with title, author(s) and affiliations. Before submitting, applicants must have agreement from all speakers beforehand. You will decide on the structure you want your symposium to follow.
Posters
An exciting development is that posters will be included for the first time at an EFTA event. Posters will be on display throughout the conference. There will also be an allocated Poster Viewing Session which will include a Drinks Reception on Friday the 5th October.
If you intend to submit an abstract for Poster Presentation please note the following:
Poster boards are 1.00m wide x 2.00m long. It is recommended that displays do not exceed 1.5m in length. An area for poster display will be allocated in the SECC. Posters can be put up from 14.30hrs on October 3rd and should be removed by 17.00hrs on October 6th. The organisers cannot be held responsible for any posters left after this time.
Alternative Presentations
If you have any alternative ideas for a presentation that you would like to give please contact efta@in-conference.org.uk with your idea. This should be submitted no later than the 1st February 2007.
